Still studying

People, it's been a long week.  I'm still studying for ACLS, but at least I finally to over my little panic attack about remembering the algorithms.  It turns out that after I started looking over them my memory improved and it started coming back to me.

Plus, I found a place where you can take the test online.  Haha!  No embarrassing yourself in front of everyone when you mix up your heart blocks!  No time limit on the test!

And, on the plus side at work, our medical director asked me personally to run an IV that is very touchy for one of our new patients.  Turns out that, well, an LPN can't do it, and our new nurse really is a new nurse, and has no idea how to run IV's, soooo, that leaves me.

The fun part is, the pump we got to run the drip sucked and we couldn't figure out how to work it, (3 of us played with it for 2 hours, and even downloaded the manual!), to I ended up manually calculating 6 different drip rates for titration.

I WIN!

Nothing like having your medical director give you kudos in front of your horrible, horrible boss for being  SUPERNURSE!

Faster than a speeding bm, more powerful than a psych patient!

Remember, it's just a ride.

  1. I just HATE when I mix up my heart blocks and look like a complete ass in front of my drinking buddies. :(

Glad to hear things are going well, Mrs. Supernurse. I may have to steal that line 'faster than a speeding bm.'
